But the cops quickly gleam the video for clues and locate where he's holed up at. Chloe is seen gagged and tied to a chair with duct tape, with an increasingly agitated kidnapper threatening her and waving his gun. The cops close in, Chloe is safe and Taze makes 3 story backward swan dive rather than face the consequences of his actions (good riddance).

However the good Doctor isn't far behind, and finds Romana in danger and after revealing Kroll to be a man in a costume, he sets her free. Later, she, the Doctor and the gunrunner are captured and summarily sentenced to death by being tied down with vines that contract under heat, to slowly pull them apart.

In the final episode, companion Leela (played Louise Jameson) is trying to figure out what household items will make suitable weapons against the Triad when they attack, when she's chloroformed from behind and overwhelmed. The good Doctor is of course unruffled by the appearance of the lead baddie and his minions and manages to secure her safety as well as a safe escort to their lair with fragile final component Magnus needs to repair his time machine. Leela recovers and follows behind. At the lair, Leela attacks Magnus but is quickly captured and tied up inside the device Magnus has been using to feed himself. When she continues to taunt him, she's gagged as well. The good Doctor saves the day of course.

After some dialogue, the lead baddie talks himself out of the original plan and decides to give the girl a dose of tana leaf fluid to make her immortal as his bride. But the mummy senses the sacred brew, investigates and attacks the man, knocking him out of a window and killing him. Things go poorly for our damsel past this point, as the spirit of Ananka makes her age wither and die as the mummy carries her off into the swamp.

He carries her back to an ancient crypt and there our lead baddie straps her down on an altar with plans to inject her with the same fluid that grants immortality. But our hero intercedes and he fights with the creature to keep it from getting the Tana fluid and when the last precious urn of the stuff spills, he uses the distracton to set the mummy ablaze.

The main sponsor of a House bill targeting online piracy announced Friday that he will postpone further action on the measure that has triggered fierce protests, blackouts from Internet sites and some rethinking among lawmakers.

The action by Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Tex.) on the Stop Online Piracy Act came a couple of hours after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said that he would delay a cloture vote on a similar Senate bill, the Protect IP (Intellectual Property) Act.

The bills are intended to narrowly address the problem of piracy on foreign Web sites. They differ slightly, but both measures grant the Justice Department the power to order Web sites to remove links to sites that are suspected of pirating copyrighted materials. Proponents of the legislation, including movie studios and recording companies, say that the bill safeguards American intellectual property and protects consumers against counterfeit goods. But opponents argue that the legislation gives the federal government too much power to take control of Web sites and amounts to a form of Internet censorship.

“I have heard from the critics, and I take seriously their concerns regarding proposed legislation to address the problem of online piracy,” Smith said in a statement. “It is clear that we need to revisit the approach on how best to address the problem of foreign thieves that steal and sell American inventions and products.”

The decisions came just two days after prominent Web sites such as Wikipedia and Reddit darkened their sites for 24 hours in protest and, along with others, such as Google, encouraged visitors to urge their Congress members not to support the bill. The sites collected signatures from millions of users opposed to the measures, and several co-sponsors of the measures withdrew their support of the online piracy legislation.

Smith said the House Judiciary Committee will postpone consideration of the legislation. Markup on the bill, which began in December, had been slated to continue in February.

Smith had remained firm in his resolve to move ahead with discussion of the bill earlier this week but said Friday that he is willing to work with copyright owners and Internet companies to develop a consensus on the best approach to stopping piracy on the Web.

Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), the main sponsor of PIPA, said that although he understands and respects Reid’s decision to postpone the vote, he believes it was a mistake.

The “day will come when the Senators who forced this move will look back and realize they made a knee-jerk reaction to a monumental problem,” Leahy said in a statement . He said that he is still determined to address the problem of online piracy and wants to work with other members of Congress to “send a bill to the President’s desk this year.”

Shutdown of Megaupload; Act 2: The Hackers Strike Back

Vocal critics of the U.S. Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, and Protect IP Act (PIPA), quickly showed their opposition to the shutdown of Megaupload.com, with hackers attacking the public websites of the Justice Department, the world's largest music company Universal Music, and the two big trade groups that represent the music and film industries.

"The government takes down Megaupload? 15 minutes later Anonymous takes down government & record label sites," a member of Anonymous said via Twitter.

Representatives with the Justice Department and Recording Industry Association of America declined comment on the attacks. Officials with Universal Music could not immediately be reached.

Motion Picture Association of America spokesman Howard Gantman said his group was working with law enforcement to identify the attackers.

Megaupload has been shut down by US officials with immediate effect.

The site is one of the world's most popular file-sharing services, but has now been closed following allegations that its founder and several other executives were charged with violating a number of piracy laws.

The allegations state that Megaupload has cost copyright holders a loss of over $500 million (£320m) in revenue from pirated films and other media.

It appears that its spinoff sites including Megavideo and Megapix have also been shut down for the time being.

A statement posted on the FBI's website read: "This action is among the largest criminal copyright cases ever brought by the United States and directly targets the misuse of a public content storage and distribution site to commit and facilitate intellectual property crime."

The Justice Department explained that Kim Dotcom (formerly Kim Schmitz) and three others were arrested in New Zealand.

Megaupload had released a statement shortly before the shutdown, stating that the allegations were "grotesquely overblown".

The statement read: "The fact is that the vast majority of Mega's internet traffic is legitimate, and we are here to stay. If the content industry would like to take advantage of our popularity, we are happy to enter into a dialogue. We have some good ideas. Please get in touch."

The website allows users to upload and transfer files that are too large for email, and is similar to several other sites including Rapidshare and FileServe.

The Motion Picture Association of America recently alleged that the vast majority of files used on Megaupload are in violation of copyright laws.

The move comes one day after many websites including Wikipedia and Craigslist shut down in protest against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA).

Thank you for contacting me regarding Internet anti-piracy legislation, specifically the PROTECT IP Act and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). I appreciate hearing your views about these important pieces of legislation.

As you know, online piracy is a major issue facing the American economy as more and more digital creations, such as music, movies, software, and books, are moved online. The Internet, which has delivered so many benefits to our economy, has unfortunately also allowed bad actors to steal and sell these stolen works. It is estimated that our economy loses more than $58 billion annually as a result of online piracy. As part of an effort to fight back against these losses, Congress has introduced two bills, the PROTECT IP Act in the Senate and SOPA in the House of Representatives, respectively.
These bills are designed to help the government more effectively utilize legal tools that are already at our disposal to fight against online piracy and protect American intellectual property. If enacted, the legislation would allow the Department of Justice to notify a website owner that the government intends to pursue a court order for alleged illegal activities. Next, the court would have to determine whether the website has a significant use other than the selling of counterfeited goods. These basic protections are designed to provide due process protections to ensure legitimate websites are not at risk for inadvertent violations.

The PROTECT IP Act was passed out of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary and SOPA has been referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary on October 26, 2011. The NE project has been in development now for some time, it is nearly finished and will soon be closing it's open Beta stage to open up for a larger audience.

Nabber's Empire is an online game played in your browser, about Kidnappers who capture and ransom Damsels for money. The game has two types of player account: The Kidnapper, which involves strategy and resource management, as well as Role-playing. The ransom money is used to build up the players Lair, buy items, hire henchmen, etc. And The Damsel, which is focused less on tactics and instead centered around Role-playing. Interacting with other players and using a skill and stat system to snoop around the villains lairs and cause trouble.

The game is steadily growing into an active Role-playing community through it's support forum. Where you can meet and chat with other players who are all DiD and Bondage fans. The project is donation driven and free to play.

Wikipedia blackout coming Jan. 18, says co-founder Jimmy Wales

Wikipedia will black out its Web site on Wednesday to protest SOPA, a version of anti-piracy legislation that’s being considered by Congress.Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales made the announcement on Twitter on Monday, saying the site would shut down English versions of the crowd-sourced online encyclopedia at midnight Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday until midnight on Wednesday.
Wales called the move a “community decision.” He pointed to a page that was created to gauge support for a possible blackout. Users have until 6:59 p.m. today to weigh in on the decision.
Wales and other SOPA opponents hope to draw attention to language in SOPA that, according to some, is too broad and could hurt free speech and innovation.

Reddit and the Cheezburger network that includes sites like The Daily What and Fail Blog also plan to shut down to protest SOPA. The document service Scribd already made a billion pages vanish. Craigslist boasts a notice on their frontpage saying “Stop SOPA and PIPA. [The bills] are
threatening Craigslist and the rest of your Internet. Most of the web sites you use strongly oppose these bills.”The online protests are changing the debate.

Over the weekend, the White House hinted that it would oppose the current version of the bill. And key sponsors are stepping away from its most controversial aspects.
If Wikipedia blacks out as promised, Wales expects an estimated 25 million daily visitors to be affected. His advice for students who might rely on the site: “Do your homework early.”

Mama goes back to the house, and kicks some butt to save Sam.

Found in my wanderings; in this clip from the reality show where contestants are kept in perpetual solitary confinement and subjected to random tortures called "treatments" (all for a crack at 50 grand), the contestants (two women and two men) are made to sit in pseudo electric chairs and gag themselves with harness ball-gags. The first round is only 20 minutes in length. The second round has no time limit, with the players determining how long they are willing to sit there ball-gagged. All they have to do to end their suffering is to hit the shiny red button, but then they forfeit the prize.

In this stupid boring movie, two brothers on the run from the law find more than they bargained for when they wash up on a tropical island populated by nubile young women. But the presence of the young men hacks off the leader Queen Pua (played by Jeanne Gerson) especially after one of them takes a liking to Mahia (played by Lisa Montell). After a ritual, it is decided that Mahia and two other girls are to be offered up to the shark gods and so the girls are trussed up with flowered vines, placed on boats and rowed out into the deadly waters. Of course one of our hunks is having none of that and dashes to the rescue. Later, after Mahia has left the village to be with her love, Queen Pua comes to try and kidnap her back, but the boys intercede and so the Queen is captured, bound and gagged with strips of cloth. Deciding now is as good a time as any to flee the island, the trio take her along as a hostage to keep the hostile natives at bay.

But our hero pries himself loose and goes caveman on the machine with a metal pipe, smashing it to bits before freeing Mera.
